Race Rules
Adrenalin Factor Server is there for all to enjoy and its open 24/7 but there has to be some rules to keep the racing clean and fun
Section 1 - Road Rules
1.0 Intention Contact
If you are deemed to have taken someone out intentionally or in retaliation to contact you will be banned
1.1 Short cutting

YOU MUST HAVE At least 2 wheels on the track AT ALL TIMES, if the outside wheels are on the ripple strip this is a cut.

If you do accidental lose control and cut a corner you must slow down sufficiently so as not to get a cheat time, more than twice will be considered cutting.
1.1.2
If in race only, you have been shunted from behind which causes you to miss the corner you are allowed to continue to regain your position.
1.2 - Readdressing

Failure to do so will result in a penalty. Please readdress.
1.2.1 WHEN TO READDRESS.

When you have obviously out braked your self and you take some one out.
1.2.1.1
If you have lost control of your car and you take someone out.
1.2.1.2
If you move over onto someone elses line and take them out.
1.2.1.3
If you try to use the inside line and have used the car on the outside as a guard rail and push them off.
1.2.1.4
If the car in front is a slower driver and you dont take this into account and you shunt them off.
1.2.1.5
If you have shunted some one and they take some one out you must redress both drivers.

Any other incident which was your fault and was unforeseeable to surrounding drivers
1.2.2 WHEN NOT TO READDRESS.

If the driver in front is out off shape or losing it,(but still not an excuse to take them out and you must make sufficient effort to avoid collision)

If a driver has lost it and collision is unavoidable, (in which case the driver who has lost it must redress you)

If both drivers contribute to the accident, (this will be considered a racing incident)

If you have been shunted by some one and take some one out, (in which case the person responsible for the shunt must redress both drivers)

If obvious lag causes you to hit a car. (it is up to the drivers discretion whether to redress or not)

If the driver in front is not holding a consistent driving line and strays onto your line.
1.3 Passing Moves and Overtaking

When coming to a corner you must be atleast half way or equal to the car beside you at the braking markers to contest the corner, if not the car behind must yeild to the racing line to the car in front, both drivers must hold there lines (inside and outside lines, if the driver inside pushes the outside driver out he must give back the position and vice versa)

Dive bombing is not allowed, this is when you try to out brake the driver in front when you are behind them and take away the racing line from them in the apex. If you can out brake some one and can leave plenty of racing room without the other driver having to take evasive action this is fine

If the driver in front is a new or slower driver it is up to the driver behind to be aware of this and act accordingly.

Blocking is not allowed, you must move once to the line you want to hold, either inside or outside lines.

FOR FASTER DRIVERS, If you choose to start from the back the rules above must be adhered to, using the cars in front as passing fodder and barging through will not be tolerated.
1.4 - Burnouts
Burnouts will not be tolerated (Unless as celebration), particularly in warm up and on the grid and especially in the pits, if you really feel the need do it, do it in Private Practise out on the track where no one can see or hear you.

1.5 - Headlights
Headlights are not allowed to be on in race unless it is a night race. continual flashing of headlights will not be tolerated. If you have difficulties with lighting, try turning off shadows or increasing your monitor brightness etc.
Section 2 - Driver Etiquette
2.0 Abuse

Abusive comments will not be tolerate under any circumstances. If you abuse a fellow driver you will be asked to leave.

Continual abuse will result in permanent exclusion from the adrenalin factor community.
2.1 What Constitutes Abuse

Swearing and derogatory or threatening comments
2.1.1
Miss-use of adrenalin factor services including ventrillo, game servers and associated websites.
2.1.2
Comments on other sites that undermine the integrity of adrenalinfactor and its members
Section 3 - Race Protests
3.0 - Submission

Before submitting a protests please discuss the issue where possible with the driver in question.

You must review your replay from aerial, and in-car on both vehicles. Understanding all points of view is important and fair given the nature of online racing.

Protests can be submitted from the "My Garage" menu at the top of this page.

You have 24hrs from the end of race 2 to submit your protest.
3.1 - Decisions

You have 48 hours from preliminary posting to appeal a decision.
3.1.1
After this period in 3.1.0, all decisions are final.
3.2 - Demerit Points
3.2.0
Demerit points will carry over through seasons.
3.2.1
At intervals of 10 demerit points, a driver will receive a 1 race ban.
3.3 - Penalties

Section 4 - Server Rules
4.0 Connection Disconnects, Reconnects and Lag

It is your responsibility to ensure your connection is satisfactory to maintain connection during race events.
4.0.1
The servers operate to a schedule. Sessions progression will not be delayed unless an admin is disconnected. This is due to admin reasons and nothing else.
4.0.2
Should you rejoin a session during warm up, it shall be your responsibility to message an Admin to ensure you are included in the grid in your rightful position.
4.0.3
If you are not present at the end of a qualifying session, and your position is not set correctly, you will start from the game determined position.
4.1 Grid Setup
4.1.0
The point during warm up where the grid is set is at the discretion of the admin. Should you require it to be reset, either ask via Ventrillo, or PM through rfactor.
4.1.1
Errors in the grid will not be adjusted. It is a complex situation and not easily confirmed. This is because we operate to a schedule. Should the first attempt to correct your position lead to the incorrect result, you will have to concede your position.
These rules are subject to change without notice. It is your responsibility to know them.
